Steve Silkin
End of the Line On the Warsaw Tram

Steve Silkin grew up in Los Angeles, where he once escaped arrest for trespassing in a skyscraper under construction by fleeing from the LAPD on his bicycle. He has also stood at the edge of the Sahara, and drunk from the stream in Delphi where Aphrodite renewed her virginity. He studied the history of French literature at La Sorbonne while working as an English teacher and technical translator, and then began a career in journalism at the International Herald Tribune in Paris. He returned to California in 1986 and has worked as a reporter and editor at newspapers and other publications here since. He has completed two novels and a collection of short stories. In addition to Tattoo Highway, his fiction has been published by Kimera, Word Riot, Eclectica, Northwoods Journal, Palo Alto Review, Unlikely Stories and the Main Street Rag anthology One Paycheck Away.
