Jon Swan
Lawn Party

Jon Swan is the author of the memoir The Napalmed Lawn and Other Memories. Published in 2000 by Linear Arts Books, The Napalmed Law and Other Memories was hailed by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lanford Wilson: "I love this book. It's beautiful, incisive and funny." Swan's flash fiction has been published online by The Dead Mule, and his story "God's Footsteps" was a finalist in the Serpentine 2002 Short Story Contest.

A full-length play, "Bombers," was a finalist in the Long Beach Civic Light Opera's New Works Festival in 1991 and produced by the Burbage Theatre in Los Angeles in 1992. His full-length play "Shades" was chosen by the Cherry Lane Theatre for its Looksee Series in 1998. One-act plays have been staged in New York at Playwright's Horizons, Alice's Fourth Floor, Ensemble Studio Theater, the Horace Mann Theatre and the West Bank Cafe.

An MFA graduate in playwriting from Columbia University's Hammerstein Center, Swan is currently employed by an advertising agency in New York City. He lives in Island Park, NY and has two sons, Kyle and Ben.
