Valerie MacEwan, founder of the Society for the Preservation of Southern Vernacular, is on the Board of Directors for and is an Associate Director for the Word Works Project, an online high school creative writing program. Her writing has appeared in: Writer's Digest; The Mississippi Review Online; Earth and Soul, an Anthology of North Carolina Poetry; The Asheville Poetry Review; MindKites; and PIF. She is also the Editor of The Dead Mule School of Southern Literature, a literary journal. But, she's not as dull as this bio, really, I mean it... she' s not.
