Shelley Ettinger's work has been published or is forthcoming in Facets, Mudlark, Samsara Quarterly, Snow Monkey and other journals. She is currently completing her first novel, for which she received a research grant from the Money for Women/Barbara Deming Memorial Fund. She was awarded a Summer 2001 residency at Norcroft Writing Retreat for Women. She co-founded the Lesbian and Gay Labor Network and co-authored We Won't Be Slaves: Workfare Workers Organize (IAC, 1997). A secretary at New York University, she lives in Queens.
