Susan Gubernat (Voyeur) is a poet whose first book, Flesh, won the Marianne Moore Prize and was published by Helicon Nine Editions in 1999. She is the recipient of numerous awards and fellowships, including a New York State Arts Council poetry fellowship, a Woodrow Wilson grant in women's studies, and residencies at Yaddo and MacDowell. Her work has appeared most recently in The Texas Review. Gubernat is Assistant Professor of Poetry in the Creative Writing program of Cal State Hayward's English Department.
